Condolences to the Elkin family – update

Margaret Ann Elkin-Mugsy passed away July 7, 2019 with family by her side. Born in Red Lake on December 19, 1968. Beloved mother of Jessica, Trevor (Chantelle), Jocelyn (Jay), and Joanna. Loving grandmother of Shayla, Giovanni, Serena, Michael, Treyden, and Hazel.

Sea Sunday – July 14th

The second Sunday in July is Sea Sunday, July 14 this year, and in the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches we pray for seafarers and the Missions that help seafarers: the Mission to Seafarers, the Apostleship of the Sea and the International Sailors Society.

Thy Kingdom Come

We would like to share one initiative with you that came out of "Thy Kingdom Come" - a global wave of prayer calling all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.

The Rev. Canon Bob Elkin, Chaplain of the Thessalon Fire Department, is requesting prayers for the daughter of one of the firefighters. Maresa was in a bad car crash in southern Ontario and her parents, Ken and Renee, are down there with her in the hospital.

We thank God for the safe arrival of Bennett Aidan Armstrong, son of The Revs. Aidan and Sarah Armstrong and little brother to William, on May 29th, 2019 in Sudbury. Mom and baby are doing well. Bennett weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces.

Condolences to the McIlroy family

Mr. James McIlroy, father of Robert (Rev. Diane Hilpert-McIlroy), died on Sunday, April 28, 2019, surrounded by the love of his family, in Palmerston at the age of 100 years. The funeral was on May 1st at Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church.
