What is the Youth Social Justice Video Challenge?
This challenge invites youth and young adults to use video to tell stories, raise awareness, and inspire action around social justice issues in our communities and beyond.
Selected videos may be featured on the diocesan website and shared through diocesan social media.
What should my video be about?
Your video should explore social justice, compassionate action, or faith in action.
Possible topics include:
· food insecurity
· homelessness and affordable housing
· mental health and belonging
· bullying and kindness
· loneliness and isolation
· poverty and inequality
· refugees and newcomers
· Indigenous reconciliation
· disability awareness and accessibility
· climate justice and caring for creation
· addiction and recovery
· seniors and isolation
· community outreach and service
Who can participate?
The challenge is open to youth and young adults.
You do not need to belong to a parish to participate. If you are connected to a parish, church, school, youth group, or community organization, you are welcome to include that information on the submission form.
What are the video guidelines?
Videos should be:
· short and original
· family-friendly
· respectful and compassionate in tone
· focused on social justice, dignity, hope, or action
Suggested length: 2–5 minutes
How do I submit my video?
Upload your video to a platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
Then complete the online submission form and include your video link.

What if I am under 18?
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian will need to provide permission as part of the submission process.
