
Community Response Grows
Community organizations across Northwestern Ontario have come together to support wildfire evacuees through coordinated donation drives, volunteer efforts, and financial assistance. Archbishop Anne Germond gives thanks for the extraordinary generosity of Indigenous leaders, emergency responders, churches, charities, businesses, and volunteers as they continue to bring hope and practical care to those displaced by the ongoing wildfire emergency.

Alongside Hope Responds
As wildfires continue to impact communities across Northwestern Ontario, Alongside Hope is partnering with diocesan and Indigenous leaders to provide emergency support and coordinate relief efforts. Through its In Canada Emergency Response Fund and collaboration with local communities, the agency is helping address immediate needs while preparing for the long-term work of recovery.
