Dear friends,

In the coming days I ask that you uphold Mrs. Irene Koyle, dear mother of Archdeacon Jay in your personal and public prayers, as well as her family members – son Jay (Susan, Stephen and Kevin) and daughter Julie. Mrs. Koyle is seriously ill with a congenital condition that is making it difficult for her to breathe. At this time there are very few treatment options. With the help of physicians and other supportive care personnel, comfort measures are being put into place to enable Mrs. Koyle to stay at home.

Archdeacon Jay has gone to be with his mother and his sister Julie in Southern Ontario, and is working from there as he is able.

“Gracious God, Father of all mercy and giver of all comfort, look with compassion on Irene. Give her a clear understanding of your great love for her and that in quietness and trust she may find her rest in you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen”

“God our Father, be with all who love Irene. Watch over and protect them, strengthen their faith, unite them in your love and fill them with peace and confidence in your goodness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen” ( South African Prayer book)
