Archbishop Anne Germond announces that she has accepted the resignation of the Very Rev. Nelson Small as he prepares to retire from ministry at Trinity, Parry Sound, on October 31, 2020.

Nelson transferred from the Diocese of Central Newfoundland to Algoma in 2001 when he became Incumbent of Trinity, Parry Sound.  In 2007, he assumed responsibilities as the Incumbent of St. Luke’s Cathedral and the Dean of Algoma.  In 2010 he retired from St. Lukes but from December 2010 to April 2011 provided a retirement ministry there while the concurrence process was underway.  Moving back to Parry Sound in 2012, he has been providing interim ministry at Trinity Church since that time.

Nelson and Brenda are planning on staying in Parry Sound but also travelling out east when restrictions are lifted to reconnect with family and friends.  We wish them well in their retirement and ask for God’s richest blessings as they enter this new stage in their lives.
