Families from across the Thunder Bay–North Shore Deanery are invited to enjoy a weekend of faith, fellowship, and fun at Family Camp, taking place August 14–16, 2026, at Camp Gitchigomee. Sponsored by Gathering Table, the weekend offers a welcoming opportunity for families of all ages to reconnect with one another, enjoy the outdoors, and share in Christian community.
Whether you plan to spend the entire weekend at camp or simply join for the day, Family Camp offers something for everyone. Activities include swimming, canoeing, hiking, beach games, volleyball, crafts, campfires, and Sunday Eucharist, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Camp Gitchigomee.
Participants may stay in one of the camp’s cabins or bring an RV or tent. Families are asked to provide their own breakfasts and lunches, while shared evening meals will be provided. Please note that Camp Gitchigomee is a nut-free facility.
Family Camp is offered by donation, helping to ensure that everyone can participate regardless of financial circumstances. Those wishing to support the ongoing ministry of Camp Gitchigomee are invited to make a donation through the camp’s website.
