Archbishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the following appointments:

The Rev. Dr. GailMarie Henderson has accepted +Anne’s invitation to be the clergy link for the Diocese of Algoma Lay Readers.

GailMarie is the Interim Incumbent for the Parish of Muskoka Lakes and the Course Supervisor for the C.A.L.L. Program (Certificate for Anglican Lay Leaders) at Thorneloe University.

She will work closely with Alison Weir, Diocesan Warden of Lay Readers, in developing a new Lay Readers Manual and she will assist in training for Lay Readers.

We appreciate her willingness to serve the Diocese in this particular ministry and uphold her in prayer as she begins this new role.

The Rev. Heather Manuel has accepted +Anne’s appointment as Pastoral Chaplain for the Deanery of Muskoka effective immediately.

Heather is the Incumbent of St. James (Gravenhurst) and Trinity-All Saints’ (Bala).  She has great gifts in mentoring and encouraging others to respond to God’s call in their lives.  She will walk with those in the deanery who feel they may be responding to such a call and will guide them through the process in the Diocese.

Heather is replacing the Rev. Peter Simmons who served as Muskoka’s Pastoral Chaplain since 2006.

We welcome Heather to her new role in the deanery and uphold her in prayer as she begins this new ministry in Muskoka.
