Archbishop Anne Germond to Visit Church of the Redeemer This Sunday

The Diocese of Algoma is pleased to share that Archbishop Anne Germond will visit Church of the Redeemer, Thessalon, on Sunday, July 19, joining the congregation for its 10:00 a.m. worship service at 257 Main Street.

Following the service, everyone is invited to remain for a coffee hour and an opportunity for fellowship with Archbishop Anne and members of the parish.

The July visit also comes as Church of the Redeemer prepares to celebrate an important milestone later this summer.

Looking Ahead: Celebrating 140 Years

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, Church of the Redeemer will celebrate its 140th Anniversary with a special service beginning at 10:00 a.m. A light luncheon will follow the anniversary service, and everyone is warmly invited to attend.

Community Singers Welcome

One of the highlights of the celebration will be a special 140th Anniversary Choir, and the parish is extending an invitation to singers from across the community to take part. Whether you are a current choir member, have sung in the past, or simply enjoy singing, you are encouraged to lend your voice to this joyful celebration.
