Archbishop Anne Germond to join parish celebrations on Manitoulin Island May 31
Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Little Current will celebrate a significant milestone on Sunday, May 31, as the parish gathers to mark its 140th anniversary with a special service of Holy Eucharist at 3 p.m.
Archbishop Anne Germond will join the celebrations as part of her ongoing ministry and parish visits throughout the Diocese of Algoma. Earlier in the day, she will also visit St. George’s Anglican Church in Espanola before travelling to Manitoulin Island for the anniversary gathering.
Founded in the nineteenth century, Holy Trinity has served generations of Anglicans and community members in Little Current and across Manitoulin Island. The anniversary celebration offers an opportunity to give thanks for the faith, ministry, and witness of those who built and sustained the parish across fourteen decades.
Parish anniversaries are important moments in the life of the Church, bringing communities together to celebrate their history while looking forward with hope toward the future. The service will reflect on Holy Trinity’s longstanding presence in the community and its continuing role as a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual care.
Following the service, the parish will host a supper at 5 p.m. RSVP information and additional details are available through the parish.
All are welcome to attend.
