A Reflection for Thy Kingdom Come 2025

As we begin this 11-day journey of global prayer from Ascension to Pentecost, Archbishop Anne Germond invites the people of Algoma to reflect on the opening words of the Lord’s Prayer:

“Our Father in heaven…”

Today’s reflection is drawn from the Thy Kingdom Come 2025 Prayer Journal, written by the Rev. Canon Chris Russell:

“These are the most regularly spoken words every day throughout the world. And they remind us that we are not alone—but part of God’s family.”

This is a time to renew our prayer life, to reconnect with God’s love, and to lift others in prayer.

Today’s Invitation:
Write down the names of five people you will pray for during this season—those who do not yet know the love and peace of Jesus Christ—and offer them to our loving Father.
