Congratulations to Mr. Ross McLean, a member of St. Thomas’ Bracebridge, who has been recognized by the Governor General of Canada, the Right Honorable Mary Simon, with the Sovereign’s Medal for volunteer work.

The Citation accompanying the award reads:

 Ross McLean has been dedicated to numerous organizations since the 1980s. In the Anglican Church of Canada, he strengthened global ecumenical ties, advanced outreach efforts and co-founded a Scholarship managed by The Anglican Foundation. As a knight of the Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, he was instrumental in fundraising and engaging volunteers for Andy’s House of Hospice Muskoka.
