Archbishop Anne Germond has appointed Algoma’s Vice-Chancellor, Amy Bottos, to serve as chair of the Constitution and Canons Committee of the Diocese, effective immediately. She succeeds Archdeacon Deborah Kraft in this role.

Amy is a Manager of Legal Services with Legal Aid Ontario in its Thunder Bay office. She is an accredited mediator with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. Her undergraduate arts degree is a double major in Sociology and English from Glendon College, York University. She graduated from the Law School of the University of Ottawa in 2002, and she was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003.

A life-long Anglican and parishioner of St. Paul’s Church in Thunder Bay, Amy has served as a Churchwarden and a Synod Delegate.

Amy and her husband, Ben, live with their two cats, Neville and Percy.

We are grateful to Amy for taking on this additional ministry in the Diocese, and we thank Archdeacon Deborah for her many years of effective service in this capacity.
