Archbishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce that she has appointed Carrie Birtch as the Deanery Warden of Lay Readers for Temiskaming Deanery effective immediately.

Carrie is an active member of St. Brice’s Church, North Bay, where she currently serves as the Rector’s Warden.  She works full-time for the Crisis Centre North Bay as the Housing Coordinator, helping people move from homelessness to stability at Northern Pines housing.

In her spare time, she is on the Board for PacSack Smiles; in the winter she likes to snowshoe and kayaking in the summer.  She, also, enjoys travelling.

Carrie says that “being a Lay Reader is an honour for me and I enjoy encouraging others in this ministry.  I look forward to continue working with the Lay Readers of Temiskaming.”

We welcome Carrie to her new role and uphold her and the Lay Readers of Temiskaming in prayer as they continue to provide ministry in the Deanery.
