Prayers are requested for the Rev. Henk Willems as he is hospitalized in Elliot Lake for a very serious infection. We pray also for Rev. Henk’s wife, Beth Topps -Willems, for the Willems family, and for the Anglican and Lutheran congregations Rev. Henk serves in Elliot Lake,  Massey, and Sagamok as they support Rev. Henk through this difficult time.

“Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: comfort and relieve your sick servant Henk and give your power of healing to those who minister to his needs, that he may be strengthened in his weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen”

During Rev. Henk’s illness the parish are being led in Sunday worship and receiving pastoral care from Anglican and Lutheran clergy in Sudbury – Manitoulin and Algoma Deanery.

Archbishop Anne visited Revs. Henk and Beth in Elliot Lake last weekend and Henk spoke about the importance of prayer in his own life, and how it has sustained him through difficult times.

Rev. Henk will be retiring at the end of November following 50 years of active ministry in the church – from his early days in lay ministry in the Church Army (now Threshold Ministries) to the present time as a priest incumbent.

Cards of greeting may be mailed to Rev. Henk at 120 Hillside Drive South, Elliot Lake Ontario P5A 1N1.

Email greetings may be sent through Rev. Beth Topps Willems at revbeth@outlook.com
