What an incredible, glorious month it has been for the Diocese of Algoma and for the Church.  We have four new deacons!

On September 19th, at the Church of St. Paul and St. John, Haileybury, Kate Scott, Joan Morris, and Val Paterson were ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons by Archbishop Anne Germond.  The preacher was the Ven. Linda White.

The Rev. Joan Morris is the Deacon Incumbent of Trillium Anglican Parish; The Rev. Val Paterson and the Rev. Kate Scott are Deacon Assistants in Northern Lights Parish.

On October 15th, at Emmaus Anglican Church, Sault Ste. Marie, Susan Montague Koyle was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons by Archbishop Anne.  The preacher, and proud husband, was the Ven. Dr. Jay Koyle.

The Rev. Susan Montague Koyle is the Deacon Incumbent of the Parish of St. Joseph and St. George as well as the Deacon Associate at Emmaus Church.
