Fulfilled in Your Hearing

A Webinar-workshop for Lectors and Lay Readers,

with The Rev. Dr. Jay Koyle

Saturday, September 24, 2016

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (see note below)

NOTE:

10-12:30 – MORNING WEBINAR BROADCAST

FOR THOSE MEETING IN DEANERY GROUPS, THE MORNING SESSION WILL BE FOLLOWED BY LUNCH AND THEN A WORKSHOP SESSION LED BY A LOCAL FACILITATOR.  END TIME WILL VARY DEPENDING ON DEANERY SESSIONS.

An effective Proclamation of the Word in Liturgy demands more than adequate reading skills on the part of clergy, Lectors and Lay Readers if congregations are to hear that Word that is truly “alive and active,” if the promises of God voiced in worship are indeed to be “fulfilled in our hearing.”

Jay will make his presentation to groups and individuals across the Diocese via webinar. He will move beyond basic communication techniques to highlight and engage various qualities and skills for the effective public proclamation of scripture.

In our few hours together, participants will find themselves inspired and better equipped to appreciate and serve in this crucial ministry.

NOTE FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE:  Please register by the 19th of September by e-mailing your name and city/town to webconferencealgoma@ontera.net. We are placing a deadline on registration to confirm that this workshop has enough in the way of participants to go ahead.
