Bishop announces new appointment

Bishop Stephen Andrews is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Aidan Armstrong to the Manitoulin Island Parishes comprised of St. Paul’s (Manitowaning), St. Francis of Assisi (Mindemoya), Holy Trinity (Little Current), All Saints’ (Gore Bay) and St. John the Evangelist (Kagawong).  The appointment is effective 1 September 2016 following Aidan’s summer ministry with the Parish of St. Christopher (McGregor Bay).

Aidan is graduating this month from the MDiv programme at Wycliffe College in the Pioneer Ministry stream.  He was ordained as a Deacon by Bishop Stephen in January 2016.  A lifelong Anglican, he grew up in London, Ontario, and has a BA in Theology from Huron University College. Last summer, he was the Summer Student Minister at St Christopher’s, McGregor Bay, as well as the featured speaker at the Diocese of Algoma Youth Synod.
