The diocesan family is asked to hold Robert Lewis in their prayers. He is very sick in the hospital in Sudbury, and we are asking for guidance for those who care for him, and for strength of faith for his wife, Dorothy, and daughters Heather and Christine.
Robert has provided pastoral leadership for communities in Massey, Sagamok, Webbwood and Garson, and is a Diocesan Lay Reader.
We would also ask you to pray for Muriel Hankinson, wife of Canon Michael Hankinson. Muriel fell and broke her hip last night and is having surgery to repair it today, 26 January. She is also at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
Archdeacon Anne Germond writes on Thursday, 4 February:
The Lewis family wish to thank everyone for the outpouring of care and support that they have received over the last few weeks. The emails, notes, cards, phone messages and prayers have been a source of strength and encouragement to Robert's family. At this time Robert's condition remains unchanged and the family ask for your ongoing prayers.
Canon Michael and Muriel Hankinson wish to thank their Diocesan family for their prayerful and practical support following Muriel's fall. Muriel is doing well in HSN and will be moving to rehab in the coming week.
