Bishop Stephen Andrews is pleased to announce the appointment of Pamela Rayment to the position of part-time Incumbent of St John's, Garden River, beginning 1 April 2015. She takes up the role in addition to her duties as part-time Incumbent of St John's, Sault Ste Marie. The two parishes have a connection through shared leadership in the past.
Pam has a Master of Divinity degree from Wycliffe College, and is a graduate of Canadore College, where she majored in Print Journalism and Interactive Multimedia. She was a youth worker and youth programme committee member at St. Brice’s, North Bay, before moving to Sault Ste Marie and getting involved at St Matthew’s Church. She will continue as the Program Associate and Child and Youth Ministry Facilitator for the Algoma Deanery. She is married to Jeremy, an instructor at Sault College, and they have a son, Logan.
Bishop Andrews expressed his deep gratitude to David Jack, who has served as lay Incumbent of the parish since 2011. David has indicated his willingness to be 'on the service roster' for the parish.
