Bishop Andrews is pleased to announce the appointment of The Reverend Charlene Scriver as Incumbent of the Parish of West Thunder Bay, effective today.
Well known to folks in Thunder Bay, Charlene has been active in the Church’s ministry in a variety of capacities, beginning with her work with the Church Army in the 1980s. An important member of St Paul’s Church, she served as Parochial Lay Reader and as the Warden of Lay Readers for the deanery. For a number of years she felt God’s call to ordered ministry and, nearly four years ago, sold her house and moved to Toronto where she could study full-time at Trinity College. This past May, she graduated with a Master of Divinity and was made a Deacon at St Paul’s, Thunder Bay on the Autumn Ember Wednesday, 17 September 2014. For the past two summers she has served as the summer Incumbent for St Christopher’s, McGregor Bay.
A native of Thunder Bay, Charlene brings strong pastoral gifts that will prove to be an asset to the parish as they move forward in God's mission in the community of Oliver Paipoonge.
