Bishop Stephen Andrews is pleased to announce the appointment of Beverly Van der Jagt as Deanery Child and Youth Ministry Facilitator for the Deanery of Sudbury/Manitoulin effective February 1, 2014.
Beverly is currently Pastoral Assistant in the congregations of St. John the Divine, Copper Cliff and Christ Church, Lively, and provides monthly services at St. Thomas’ Chapel in French River as a Pastoral Worker. She holds a Human Services Counsellor Diploma from Durham College and has an extensive background in counseling and supporting vulnerable individuals. She spent six months at a Discipleship Training School through Youth With a Mission in Mexico. As a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church in Bracebridge she led special children’s ministry events, organized a number of fundraising events and participated in leading worship.
We welcome Beverly to her new position and wish her success in her ministry within the Deanery and Diocese.
