Bishop announces upcoming ordinations to the Priesthood

Bishop Stephen Andrews is pleased to announce his plans, God willing, to ordain The Rev. Sherry De Jonge and The Rev. Pamela Rayment to the Priesthood.

Sherry has a BA from the University of Western Ontario, a BEd from the University of Windsor, and her MDiv. from Wycliffe College.  She is currently the Incumbent of the Combined Parishes of Little Current, Western Manitoulin, and, most recently, Great Spirit Island.

Pam, a graduate of Canadore College where she majored in Print Journalism and Interactive Multimedia, received her MDiv. from Wycliffe College this past spring.  She is currently the Incumbent of St. John the Evangelist, Sault Ste. Marie; Program Associate and Child and Youth Ministry Facilitator for Algoma Deanery.

Both Sherry and Pam were ordained to the diaconate during our opening Synod service this past May.

        Saturday, November 30, 2013 – 10:30 a.m.

        St. Francis of Assisi, Mindemoya

        Preacher:  The Rt Reverend Dr Stephen Andrews

 

The Reverend Pamela Rayment

        Saturday, December 21, 2013 – 2:00 p.m.

        St. John the Evangelist, Sault Ste. Marie

        Preacher:  The Reverend Dr Jay Koyle

 

Clergy are invited to robe and process.  The liturgical color is red.

 

We request that you uphold Sherry and Pam in prayer as they prepare for ordination.
