Canada's aid program, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), to amalgamate with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. The proposed legislation for this change appeared in the Bill C-60, the omnibus budget bill presented in the House of Commons on April 29. This ends 45 years of CIDA as a stand-alone agency.
The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund has some concerns regarding this announcement.
