Job Title: Congregational Development Officer

 

 

As part of our new 5 year Strategic Plan for the Anglican Diocese of Algoma, we are committed to developing healthy congregations.  To help us achieve this initiative, we need a passionate and enthusiastic person in a new staff position of Congregational Development Officer.

 

Job Description

Reporting to the Bishop and working with the Strategic Plan Implementation Committee, the Congregational Development Officer will develop and co-ordinate Benchmarks for healthy parishes.  The Congregational Development Officer will then train assessment teams to evaluate parishes, and provide practical and pastoral support to build congregations throughout the Diocese.

Work Environment

The Congregational Development Officer will be based in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, where the Bishop’s office is located. As the Diocese extends from Thunder Bay, ON, in the northwest of the province to Gravenhurst in Central Ontario, there will be overnight traveling involved in this job.

 

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time position
